Aloo chokha recipe is a mashed potato dish from Bihar, where boiled potatoes are crushed with mustard oil, onions, and green chillies, giving the mash a sharp aroma and a coarse texture.
3 boiled potatoes 2 tbsp mustard oil 1 finely chopped onion 2 finely chopped green chillies 2 tbsp chopped coriander leaves Salt to taste
Peel the boiled potatoes and crush them roughly in a bowl using a spoon or your hands.
Add chopped onions, green chillies, and coriander leaves to the bowl.
Pour mustard oil over the mixture so its pungent aroma coats the potatoes.
Sprinkle salt and mix everything until the ingredients are evenly combined.
Serve with litti, roti, or steamed rice.
