Adai dosa is a South Indian dish made with rice and lentils. It does not require fermentation and can be prepared and cooked immediately after grinding the paste. This recipe is a powerhouse of healthy benefits and cannot be missed
1 cup rice ¼ cup toor dal ¼ cup chana dal ¼ cup urad dal ¼ cup moong dal 2-3 dry red chillies 1 tsp cumin seeds ½ tsp asafoetida 1 tbsp grated coconut Water as needed Salt to taste 1 tsp oil
Wash rice and dal, soak them with red chillies in water for 3-4 hours.
Drain the water, grind the mixture, add cumin seeds, asafoetida, grated coconut, and add water to achieve a pouring consistency.
Let the batter rest for 30 minutes, and add salt just before cooking.
Heat tawa, add oil, pour a ladle full of batter and spread in a circular motion, drizzle oil around the edges and cook until golden brown on both sides.
Serve hot with coconut chutney and sambar!
