Tomato murukku is a crunchy sev you can enjoy with a cup of morning or evening tea. Ahead of Holi celebrations, prepare this delight at home. Follow this step-by-step recipe and leave your guests impressed with your cooking.
1 cup rice flour 1/2 tsp hing 1 tbsp red chilli powder 1 tsp cumin seeds Oil for deep frying ½ cup besan 3 tomatoes 1 tsp sesame seeds Salt as needed
Puree tomatoes and strain the blend using water.
In a bowl combine spices, besan, rice flour, hing, and salt.
Knead the dough with tomato puree and three tsp hot oil.
Add the dough to the murukku machine and gently press it over hot oil.
Deep-fry murukku until they are crispy.
Store in airtight jars and enjoy the snack.
