Oil is often added to wheat to create a soft, smooth dough. As a single dish, tandoori paratha is delicious and filling. You can pair it up with veg and non-veg dishes as you like.
1 cup whole wheat flour 1 ½ tsp low-fat curd or dahi 2 boiled potatoes ½ onion, finely chopped Fresh coriander leaves 2-4 green chillies Water, as needed Oil, as needed Ghee, as needed Salt, to taste Tandoori sauce, optional
In a mixing bowl, add flour and water. Add salt and ghee. Mix well until a soft dough is formed.
Mash the potatoes in a separate bowl. Add green chillies and coriander leaves. You can use tandoori sauce, if you want. Mix well.
Make two sets of at least 5-10 small dough balls. Roll them out with a rolling pin.
Spread the tandoori potato mixture on one of the flattened doughs. Then, gently cover it with another.
Pinch edges to seal the. Use the rolling pin to roll it once more. Heat a tawa with ghee.
Place one raw tandoori paratha on the tawa. Add some ghee on top. Cook on both sides until golden brown.
Serve tandoori aloo parathas with a choice of side dishes.
