The day your child forgets their tiffin at home is the day you are on a guilt trip as a parent. You try everything to make sure your child receives their lunch, but you instantly start thinking about what to pack for them the next day. Here is a short guide for you.
In India, one of the most fulfilling items you can pack for lunch is paratha sabzi. Plain paratha can be paired with bhurji, aloo sabzi, bhindi, gajar-matar, and whatnot.
You can prepare mini idlis and pack them for lunch with coconut chutney. You can also stir-fry them with mustard seeds, a pinch of turmeric, and onions.
Corn salad with spinach flaunting the green hue is another nutritious pack for tiffin boxes. Grill it for the texture and add cheese to mask the bitterness of spinach.
Take the leftover idli-dosa batter, spread it on a hot griddle, and top it with veggies, including onion, tomato, capsicum, cabbage, and carrot.
You can prepare paneer, tofu, or egg bhurji and wrap it inside a paratha along with a dollop of chutney and pickled onions, carrots, and cabbage.
When in doubt, prepare stuffed parathas using leftover sabzi, aloo blend, paneer, eggs, tofu, and whatnot. Pack it with pickles and raita.
