One of the most popular winter classics from North India is missi roti. The roti is served hot with a generous dollop of makkhan on top. Making them at home is easy, simple and quick.
2 cups of chickpea flour 2 green chillies 3 tablespoons of coriander 1 teaspoon of red chilli powder ½ teaspoon of turmeric powder ¼ teaspoon of garam masala ½ teaspoon of hing 1 teaspoon of kasuri methi ½ teaspoon of jeera Oil as needed Water as needed
In a large mixing bowl, add the flour, coriander, and red chilli powder. Stir it.
Add the turmeric powder, garam masala, and hing. Add kasuri methi and jeera. Mix it well.
Add oil. Add water as needed and turn it into a dough. Coat the dough with oil and knead it a bit more.
Make a small ball and roll it in circles using flour. Roll them out.
Cook the rotis evenly on both sides using ghee. Serve with butter and a choice of side dishes.
