Matcha, or bright green tea powder, has grown in popularity across the world due to its high antioxidant content and nutritional benefits. Summertime and sunshine make it a great time to prepare a perfect glass of iced matcha latte!
2 tablespoons of matcha powder 2 tablespoons of hot water 1 cup of warm water Ice, as needed Milk of choice Sugar or syrups as needed 1 tea kettle A matcha whisk
In a measuring cup or bowl, add the matcha powder. Pour in the 2 tablespoons of hot water.
Whisk this matcha mixture until it has dissolved into the water. The consistency should be almost paste-like.
Pour the cup of warm water into it. Mix it properly. Put it in the fridge or freezer for 15 minutes.
Take two long glasses. Fill them with ice. Add ¾ of the milk to it. Add your sugar and syrups to taste.
Pour the matcha over it. Stir. Iced matcha latte is ready to be sipped!
Do not use cold water for matcha. When you use hot water, the heat helps break down the powder, allowing it to dissolve evenly.
