A mango smoothie is one of the most uncomplicated ways to keep going when the summer heat feels intense. Filled with ripe mangoes and chilled yoghurt, this refreshing drink feels filling without being too heavy, making it perfect to have as a breakfast meal, post-workout fuel or also as an evening cooling drink.
1½ cups chopped ripe mango 1 cup chilled yogurt ½ cup cold milk 1 tbsp honey 4 to 5 ice cubes ¼ tsp cardamom powder Chopped nuts for garnish
For the smoothie, use ripe and naturally sweet mangoes so that the drink tastes creamy.
In a blender, add the chopped mangoes, chilled yoghurt, milk, honey and ice cubes to blend everything into a smooth drink.
Blend the mixture for about one minute until the smoothie gets a thick, creamy and frothy texture and has no chunks remaining.
If the smoothie feels a bit too thick, add a little cold milk and then blend it again until it gets a smooth, drinkable consistency.
Now, mix in the cardamom powder to add some extra fragrance as well as freshness.
Now, pour the smoothie into glasses filled with ice, garnish with some chopped nuts, if you like,e and serve immediately.
