Pour imli chutney over anything, and you can instantly elevate the flavours of a dish. You can combine it with other condiments and make a flavourful blend that will take the dining experience up a notch.
½ cup dates ½ cup tamarind ½ cup jaggery ½ tsp ginger powder ½ tsp saunf, red chilli 2 cups water ¾ tsp coriander powder ½ tsp black salt ½ tsp roasted cumin powder
Add tamarind, dates, water, and red chilli powder in a bowl.
Cover the bowl, and place it inside the pressure cooker with water in it.
After three whistles, remove the bowl and add powdered spices to the blend.
Let the mixture cool off. Blend the ingredients in a food processor.
Taste the salt and spices. Adjust the ingredients and strain them through a sieve.
Refrigerate tamarind chutney in an airtight jar.
