Tadka or masala idli is the perfect recipe to transform leftover ingredients from the previous night into a delicious breakfast or snack. Imagine making idli in bulk and wondering what to do with the ones in your refrigerator. Try this recipe.
10 idli 1.5 tsp mustard seeds 2 sliced onions 2 red chillies 2 green chillies Salt to taste 2 tbsp coriander leaves 2 tbsp oil
Let the idli thaw at room temperature and cut each into four pieces.
Heat a heavy-bottom pan and add 2 tbsp oil to it.
Add mustard seeds and let them crackle.
Add red chillies, green chillies, and sliced onions.
Once onions are translucent, add idli. For colour, you can add a pinch of turmeric or red chilli powder.
Sprinkle salt and after cooking for 5 minutes on medium flame, breakfast or snack will be ready.
