Buttery tart crust, creamy stuffing and juicy mango slices make this mango tart feel just suited for the summer dessert. Lightly chilled and overflowing with the freshness of mango flavour, it works perfectly for weekend gatherings, a tea-time bite or when a heavy dessert feels too much.
For The Tart Base 1 cup digestive biscuit crumbs 4 tbsp melted butter For The Filling 1 cup whipped cream ½ cup cream cheese ½ cup mango puree 2 tbsp honey or sugar ½ tsp vanilla essence For Topping 1 ripe mango, sliced Mint leaves for garnish
In a bowl, mix the biscuit crumbs with melted butter until a sandy mixture forms. Press this mixture firmly into a tart tin and refrigerate it well so that the base sets properly.
In another bowl, beat cream cheese, whipped cream, mango puree and vanilla together to make a smooth filling.
Now, add honey or sugar slowly while whisking the filling. Keep sweetness balanced so that the mango flavour stays bright and refreshing.
Spread the prepared creamy mango mixture evenly on the prepared tart base. Smooth the top with a spatula or spoon.
Arrange the thin mango slices across the tart surface to give the dessert a lively summer look and add juicy texture.
Refrigerate the prepared mango tart for at least two hours before you slice. Serve it chilled with mint leaves on top for a refreshing summer dessert.
