Nothing about this is complicated, and that is exactly the point. Thick, cold, vanilla-laced custard wrapped around whatever fruit is ripest - mango, banana, grapes, strawberries, each spoonful hitting differently. The kind of dessert that needs no occasion, no explanation, and absolutely no leftovers.
2 cups milk 2 tbsp vanilla custard powder 3 tbsp sugar 1 cup mixed fruits (apple, banana, grapes, pomegranate) 2 tbsp chopped nuts (optional)
Mix custard powder with a few tablespoons of cold milk to form a smooth lump-free paste.
Heat the remaining milk in a pan, add sugar, and bring it to a gentle boil.
Pour in the custard mixture while stirring continuously until it thickens.
Let the custard cool completely, then refrigerate until chilled.
Add chopped fruits and nuts just before serving, mixing gently to combine.
