Summer-Special Aamras Recipe You Can Relish With Your Meals

Summers call for indulging in mangoes and several fruit-based delights like aamras, mango ice cream, aam panna, and whatnot. Aamras is among the most popular desserts that suit the palate of desi people. Here is how you can make it at home.

Ingredients

½ tsp cardamom powder 400 grams of mangoes 2-3 tsp raw sugar A pinch of saffron strand Water or milk as needed ¼ tsp dry ginger

Step 1

Use Alphonso mangoes. Wash them and dry them using a kitchen towel.

Step 2

Peel and chop mangoes. Blend them with sugar to balance the sourness.

Step 3

Add some milk or water to the paste to adjust the consistency

Step 4

Transfer the pulp to a bowl and sprinkle cardamom powder and saffron strands.

Step 5

Refrigerate aamras for about 30-60 minutes before serving.

Step 6

You can serve it with rice, poori, and as a dessert after a meal.
