Are you craving something delicious for breakfast but want it to be healthy? The answer lies in South Indian recipes. Make stuffed idli at home and pair them with chutney for a fulfilling first meal of the day.
3 boiled potatoes ¾ cup curd ½ tsp turmeric & cumin 1.5 cups semolina 1 tsp mustard seeds & chana dal 1 cup water ½ tsp fruit salt & ginger paste 1 pinch of hing 2 tbsp coriander ½ chopped onion 6-8 curry leaves 2 chopped green chillies
Roast rava in a pan until it turns slightly brown and aromatic. Mix it with salt, curd, and water. Keep it aside.
In a hot kadhai, heat oil and add chana dal, mustard seeds, and curry leaves.
Saute ginger, green chillies, and onion. Add spices and potatoes to the mix.
Garnish the spicy potato mixture with coriander leaves. Add fruit salt to the idli batter.
Grease the idli moulds and add batter to them. Top each mould with the potato mixture and add more batter.
Steam the batter for 15-20 minutes and serve stuffed idli hot with coconut chutney.
