Vada pav is one of the most famous street foods of Maharashtra. If you are looking for a snack to pair with your tea, try making the South Indian special vada pav with this authentic street-style recipe.
3 potatoes 1/2 cup besan 1 teaspoon chopped green chilli 1 teaspoon chopped ginger 1/2 teaspoon cumin seeds 1/4 teaspoon turmeric powder A pinch of hing Salt to taste Oil for frying Coriander chutney as per taste Tamarind chutney as per taste 1 packet of pav
Heat some oil and saute cumin seeds, hing, chopped ginger, and green chilli.
Add mashed potatoes, turmeric powder, and salt. Cook till fragrant
Make the batter by mixing besan, salt, turmeric powder, and water.
Take small portions of the filling mixture, coat them with the batter and deep fry till crispy.
Take the pav, slit them and spread coriander and imli chutney on each side.
Finally, add the fried vada to the pav and enjoy it with a green chilli.
