Momo, the Asian classic, is a popular street snack across various Indian cities. But every plate of momo is incomplete without the spicy red chutney. To make the spicy dip, follow these five steps.
4-5 dried red chillies 2 tomatoes 4-5 garlic cloves ½ tsp roasted sesame seeds (optional) Salt to taste 1 tsp lemon juice 1 tsp oil
Soak the dried red chillies in hot water for at least ten minutes.
In the meantime, heat some oil and sauté chopped garlic and tomatoes until soft.
Add soaked red chillies, roasted sesame seeds, and salt. Cook for about a minute.
Let the mixture cool. Once at room temperature, add lemon juice and blend it into a paste.
Once the red chutney is smooth, serve with a hot plate of momo.
