Quite popular in the Northern parts of India, aloo tikki is a go-to street food option that you can easily make at home. Made with potatoes, onions, and spices, you can top the tikki with dahi and chutney.
4 potatoes, boiled 1/2 cup green peas, boiled 1 onion 2 green chillies 1-inch ginger 1/2 teaspoon cumin powder 1/2 teaspoon coriander powder 1/4 teaspoon red chilli powder 1/4 teaspoon garam masala Chaat masala Salt, to taste 1 tablespoon rice flour Oil for frying
Mash the potatoes and mix them with boiled peas, onion, green chillies, and all the spices.
Add rice flour and knead a firm dough. Take small portions and shape them into patties.
Heat some oil and half-fry or deep-fry the tikkis till crispy.
Top up with curd, imli chutney, green chutney, and serve.
