Every spoonful carries separate, ghee-coated grains that are soft yet slightly chewy; melted jaggery seeps into the wheat, adding deep caramel notes, while cardamom lingers gently, leaving a warm sweetness that builds with each bite.
1 cup broken wheat ½ cup grated jaggery 3 tbsp ghee 3 cups hot water ¼ tsp cardamom powder 2 tbsp chopped nuts 1 tbsp raisins
Roast broken wheat in ghee on low heat until golden and fragrant.
Carefully add hot water, then cover and cook on low until the grains are soft.
Stir in jaggery and cook until fully melted and slightly glossy.
Add cardamom powder and mix well.
Garnish with nuts and raisins fried in ghee and serve warm.
