Aloo paratha is a traditional North Indian stuffed flatbread filled with spiced mashed potatoes. Cooked on a hot tawa with ghee, it’s served with curd, butter, or pickle for a hearty meal.
2 cups whole wheat flour 2 boiled and mashed potatoes 2 finely chopped green chillies ½ tsp cumin seeds ½ tsp red chilli powder ½ tsp garam masala 2 tbsp chopped coriander leaves Salt to taste Ghee or oil for cooking
In a bowl, knead wheat flour with water and a pinch of salt into a soft dough, let it rest for 20 minutes.
Mix mashed potatoes with green chillies, cumin, chilli powder, garam masala, coriander, and salt, for filling.
Divide the dough into small balls, then roll one ball slightly, place stuffing in the centre, and seal it.
Roll gently into a round paratha without tearing.
Heat a tawa, cook each side with ghee/oil until golden spots appear.
Serve hot with curd, butter, or pickle.
