Dal chawal for 50 years sounds boring. However, chutneys and pickles can bring life to your everyday food. Here’s a spicy tomato chutney recipe that can be made in just five simple steps.
4-5 dried red chillies 2 tomatoes 4-5 garlic cloves Salt to taste 1 tsp lemon juice 1 tsp oil
Soak the dried red chillies in hot water for at least ten minutes.
In the meantime, heat some oil and sauté chopped garlic and tomatoes till soft.
Add soaked red chillies and salt. Cook for about a minute.
Let the mixture cool. Once at room temperature, add lemon juice and blend it into a paste.
Once the tomato chutney is smooth, add it to your lunch or dinner plate.
