Momo Chutney is a fiery Nepali sauce made with tomatoes, red chillies, and garlic. This tangy, smoky dip enhances the flavour of steamed or fried momos, making every bite irresistibly delicious and flavourful.
3 chopped tomatoes 6-8 dried red chillies (adjust to spice level) 3-4 garlic cloves 1 tbsp sesame seeds (optional, for nutty flavour) ½ tsp salt ½ tsp sugar 1 tsp vinegar or lemon juice
Boil tomatoes and red chillies for 5-6 minutes, then drain and allow them to cool completely.
Grind them with garlic, sesame seeds, salt, and sugar until smooth.
Add vinegar or lemon juice and mix well.
Taste and adjust the seasoning; the chutney should be perfectly spicy, tangy, and mildly smoky.
Serve with steamed or fried momos!
