Soyabean Pulao: High Protein One Pot Meal For Busy Weekdays

Coming home after a hectic work day requires a low-effort meal. To achieve your protein consumption, you can make one-pot soybean pulao. Follow this recipe to make a high-protein meal in 15 minutes.

Ingredients

1 cup rice 1 cup soya chunks 1 onion 1 tomato 1 green chilli 1 inch ginger 2 cloves garlic 1 teaspoon cumin seeds 1 bay leaf 2 green cardamoms 1 cinnamon stick 1 teaspoon garam masala 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder 1/4 teaspoon red chilli powder 1/4 cup coriander leaves Salt to taste 2 tablespoons oil Mixed vegetables

Step 1

Rinse the rice and soya chunks and soak for half an hour. Drain and keep aside.

Step 2

Heat some oil and saute cumin seeds, bay leaf, green cardamom, and cinnamon stick.

Step 3

Add chopped onion, ginger and garlic. Mix in tomatoes and cook till they are soft.

Step 4

Stir in turmeric powder, red chilli powder, and garam masala.

Step 5

Add mixed vegetables like peas, carrots, and cauliflower. Pour some water and boil.

Step 6

Add the rice and soya chunks. Simmer for about 20 minutes. Serve with raita.
