The lentil-based South Indian staple, dal dosa, is a high-protein delicacy that can be enjoyed as a healthy breakfast or a filling lunch or a dinner. Follow this step-wise recipe to make dal dosa yourself.
1 cup urad dal 1/2 cup chana dal 1 cup rice 1/4 cup grated coconut 1 tablespoon chopped ginger 1 tablespoon green chillies Salt to taste Water as required
Rinse and soak urad dal and chana dal overnight.
Add water to the soaked dal. Mix in grated coconut, ginger, and green chillies.
Blend all the ingredients till smooth. Let it ferment for a few hours.
Heat a non-stick pan, pour a ladleful of batter, and spread it into a circle.
Cook on both sides till crisp. Serve hot with chutney and sambar.
