South Indian Cabbage Thoran Recipe To Enjoy With Paratha

South Indian cabbage thoran is an easy but delicious recipe that goes well with parathas. You can also serve it with dal-rice or dal-roti, and you will thank the author later. Boasting the nuttiness of coconut, its taste will leave you wanting more.

Ingredients

1 grated cabbage 2 grated carrots 10 curry leaves Salt to taste 1 tbsp oil 1 tsp mustard oil 1 chopped green chilli 1 cup coconut sliver ½ tsp turmeric powder 2 tbsp coriander leaves A pinch of hing

Step 1

Heat oil in a pan and add mustard seeds.

Step 2

Once seeds start spluttering, add hing, green chillies, turmeric, and curry leaves.

Step 3

Toss the cabbage and carrot into the pan and cook until the veggies soften.

Step 4

Sprinkle salt and coconut slivers. Cook for another 3-5 minutes.

Step 5

Sprinkle coriander leaves over cabbage thoran and serve it.
