Masala tea, made with winter-special spices like cinnamon, cardamom, ginger, etc, is perfect to soothe your itchy throat and a runny nose. Here’s an easy recipe to make masala chai at home.
1.5 cups water 1 inch cinnamon stick 3 green cardamoms 4 cloves 5 black peppercorns ½ inch fresh ginger, grated 1 teaspoon black tea ¾ cup milk Sugar to taste
Dry roast cinnamon, cardamom, cloves, and peppercorns till aromatic.
Add water and grated ginger to the same pan. Let it boil.
Add black tea and simmer for another 5 minutes.
Pour in the milk and sugar and let it simmer for a few more minutes.
Strain the masala tea into cups and enjoy!
