Solkadhi is a refreshing Konkan-style digestive drink made from kokum and coconut milk. Light, cooling, and mildly spiced, this traditional Maharashtrian solkadhi balances spicy meals and aids digestion.
8-10 dried kokum petals 1 cup thick coconut milk 1½ cups water 2 crushed garlic cloves 1 finely chopped green chilli Salt to taste Fresh chopped coriander
Soak kokum petals in warm water for 15-20 minutes until the colour deepens.
Gently mash the soaked kokum to extract maximum flavour.
Add coconut milk, crushed garlic, green chilli, and salt, then mix gently.
Adjust the water consistency to your taste and stir well.
Garnish with fresh coriander and chill before serving.
