Nothing can compare to the scent of freshly baked banana bread. Soft and moist, this simple recipe of banana bread changes overripe bananas into a comforting delight, perfect for tea-time snacking.
3 ripe bananas 1½ cups all-purpose flour (maida) ½ cup sugar ⅓ cup melted butter 1 tsp baking soda 1 tsp vanilla extract 2 eggs Pinch of salt
Preheat the oven to 180°C and grease the loaf tray with butter or line it with parchment paper.
Mash the ripe bananas in a bowl until they turn smooth, and add melted butter and sugar to it. Whisk until everything is mixed.
Add eggs, vanilla extract and beat lightly until blended, forming a smooth and slightly frothy mixture.
In another bowl, add maida, baking soda, and salt. Gradually tuck the dry mix into the wet batter.
Pour this batter into the set loaf tray. Tap lightly to remove any trapped air bubbles.
Bake for about 45–50 minutes and check by inserting a toothpick to see if it is baked properly. Enjoy the freshly made banana bread over tea time.
