Who doesn't love potatoes? They can be cooked into a variety of dishes that bring comfort. One such dish is mashed potatoes that can be eaten with rice, steak, bread and so on. Whip this traditional mashed potato recipe for your daily dose of butter and cream!
500 grams of potatoes Water as required ¾ cups of full-fat hot milk 2 tablespoons of butter Salt to taste ¼ teaspoon of black pepper powder 2 tablespoons of parsley leaves, chopped Cheese, optional
In a pot, pour the water. Add some salt. Chop the potatoes and put them in. Let it boil.
Once the potatoes are soft and tender, remove it from the water. Peel the skin off. Let it cool.
Take a pan and turn the heat to medium. Let the potatoes cook until the water has evaporated.
Take a potato masher or a fork/spoon and gently begin to mash the potatoes in the pan.
Add hot milk, butter and salt. Keep stirring to avoid lumps. Continue till it reaches a smooth and creamy consistency.
Garnish with parsley leaves and cheese. Serve mashed potatoes with rice, bread or steak.
