Are you looking for a healthy office snack that feels filling, without making you feel stuffed? Chana chaat is a light, protein-rich snack that you can carry to the office easily. It keeps you going through busy work hours without feeling too heavy.
1 cup boiled black chana ½ cup chopped cucumber ¼ cup chopped onion ¼ cup chopped tomato 2 tbsp chopped coriander 1 green chilli (finely chopped, optional) 1 tbsp lemon juice ½ tsp roasted cumin powder ½ tsp chaat masala Salt to taste 2 tbsp roasted peanuts or sev (optional)
Boil or pressure cook overnight soaked kala chana, until they just turn soft, but not mushy.
Transfer the boiled chana to a bowl and add chopped cucumbers to it.
Also, add chopped onions, tomatoes, green chilli, and coriander to this and mix.
Season the chana chaat with some roasted cumin powder, chaat masala, and salt to get the correct flavour in every bite.
To further elevate the flavours, squeeze fresh lemon juice and mix everything nicely.
In the end, garnish it with roasted peanuts or sev for some extra crunch, or with whatever you like and enjoy as a healthy, guilt-free snack.
