Garlic, a staple in Indian kitchens, can transform any dish with its aromatic and flavourful punch. Here are six simple ways to incorporate this versatile ingredient into your cooking. 

Garlic Paste

Create a smooth paste by blending garlic cloves with a bit of oil. This can be stored and used in curries, marinades, or even as a spread.

Tempering

Sauté minced garlic in hot oil until golden. This fragrant oil can be used to start off dals, vegetable dishes, and stir-fries, adding a depth of flavour

Roasted Garlic

Roast whole garlic bulbs until soft and caramelised. The sweet, mellow garlic can be spread on bread, mixed into mashed potatoes, or blended into soups. 

Garlic Butter

Combine softened butter with minced garlic and herbs. This can be used to top grilled meats, stir into pasta, or spread on toast for a quick garlic bread. 

Pickled Garlic
