It can be unpleasant to have a bad smell in your fridge that stays there and makes your food taste less and stay fresh. There are easy ways to keep your fridge smelling clean and fresh, though. You can get rid of and avoid bad smells with these six tips.

Clean Regularly

Remove expired food and clean shelves and drawers with a solution of baking soda and warm water to neutralize odours.

Use Baking Soda

Place an open box of baking soda in the fridge. It absorbs odours and needs to be replaced every three months.

Activated Charcoal

Use activated charcoal packets, which are excellent at absorbing smells. Replace them monthly.

White Vinegar

A bowl of white vinegar left in the fridge overnight can help neutralize strong odours.

Coffee Grounds

Place used coffee grounds in a bowl inside the fridge. They absorb and mask bad smells effectively.

Lemon and Cloves

Cut a lemon in half and stud it with cloves. Place it in the fridge for a fresh, citrusy scent.
