Shakshuka is a classic Middle Eastern dish made with eggs poached in a spiced tomato and pepper sauce. It’s flavourful, protein-rich, and perfect for a wholesome breakfast or brunch.
2 eggs 2 tomatoes (chopped) 1 onion (chopped) 1 green chilli or small capsicum (chopped) 1 tbsp olive oil ½ tsp cumin powder Salt and pepper to taste Fresh coriander or parsley for garnish
Heat olive oil in a pan and sauté onion and chilli until soft and golden.
Add tomatoes, cumin, salt, and pepper, and cook until the sauce thickens.
Make small wells in the sauce and crack the eggs directly into them.
Cover and cook on low flame until eggs are set, then garnish and serve hot.
