Whiskey sour is a classic cocktail that is best made with bourbon, though any whiskey will do in a pinch. For winter evenings when you host a group of people or your fav peeps, this whiskey sour recipe will surely satiate all that tanginess you’ve been looking for!
1 tablespoon of orange juice, freshly squeezed 1 tablespoon of lime juice ½ tablespoon of sugar syrup 750 ml of your choice of bourbon 1 large bowl of egg white, whisked Ice as required Grated lemon zest for garnish
Pour the bourbon, lemon juice, simple syrup, and egg white, if using, into a shaker. Dry shake without ice for 30 seconds.
Shake once more for 15 to 20 seconds after adding the ice, or until thoroughly cold.
Strain into a rocks glass over fresh ice, or into a coupe without ice.
Garnish with grated lemon zest. Serve the whiskey sour in a whiskey glass with ice.
