Shahi literally translates to royal, making shahi tukda one of the most regal desserts. To make the traditional Indian dessert at home, follow this guide and enjoy crispy bread topped with rabri.
4 bread slices 1 litre milk 1 cup sugar 1 cup water Oil for frying 3 cardamoms 1/2 teaspoon rose water Chopped nuts Saffron for garnishing
Take the bread slices and cut them into equal squares.
Deep fry the bread pieces till they are crunchy and golden brown, and set aside.
Then, take the milk and let it simmer till it thickens.
Add sugar, cardamom, and rose water to make a perfect rabri.
Coat the fried bread pieces with sugar syrup. Top with rabri, chopped nuts, and saffron.
