Semiya or seviyan kheer is a traditional sweet prepared with milk and vermicelli. It can make any festive platter special and irresistible. Top it with dry fruits, and you can add a bit of character to it.
½ tsp cardamom ¾ cup semiya 4 cups milk ½ cup sugar 2 tbsp ghee 10-12 raisins 5-6 cashews 5-6 almonds
Melt ghee in a pan and sauté cashews and almonds in it.
Boil milk in a pot while continuously stirring it.
Add sugar to it and stir to dissolve it.
Fold in semiya and wait for them to swell and cook.
Add raisins, cardamom powder, and dry fruits.
Turn off the flame and let the blend come to room temperature before refrigerating it.
