Paratha is a staple breakfast option that emerged from Punjab and is now enjoyed across all parts of the globe. To make the recipe adhere to Sawan restrictions, here’s how you can make it without onion and garlic.
2 cups atta Water as needed 2 potatoes, boiled and mashed 1 cauliflower, chopped 1 green chilli, finely chopped 1-inch ginger, grated 1 teaspoon cumin seeds 1 teaspoon coriander powder 1/2 teaspoon red chilli powder 1/4 teaspoon turmeric powder 1/2 teaspoon garam masala Salt to taste
Mix whole wheat flour and salt. Add water and knead a smooth dough. Let it rest.
Mix mashed potatoes, cauliflower, green chillies, ginger, and all the spices.
Take small portions of the dough and roll out into circles.
Add a spoonful of filling and enclose it to form a ball. Roll again.
Heat a tawa, cook the paratha on both sides and serve hot.
