Sawan 2026: Crispy Sabudana Tikki For A Vrat-Friendly Snack

Sawan, the monsoon month as per the Hindu calendar, is dedicated to worshipping Lord Shiva. With many devotees observing a fast, here’s a sabudana tikki recipe for a vrat-friendly snack.

Ingredients

1 cup sabudana 2 boiled potatoes 1/2 cup roasted peanuts 2-3 green chillies 1 inch of ginger 1 tablespoon lemon juice 1/4 cup chopped coriander leaves 1 teaspoon cumin seeds Rock salt to taste Oil for frying

Step 1

Rinse and soak sabudana till soft. Drain excess water.

Step 2

Mix sabudana with potatoes, peanuts, green chillies, ginger, lemon juice, cumin seeds, coriander, and rock salt.

Step 3

Take small portions of the mixture and shape them into patties.

Step 4

Heat some oil and air-fry, shallow-fry, or deep-fry till the tikkis are crispy.

Step 5

Serve with your favourite chutney and add to your vrat thali.
