The best part about the South Indian vada is its versatility. From urad dal to sabudana, you can easily make vadas, depending on your preference. For a vrat-friendly snack, try this sabudana vada recipe.
1 cup sabudana 2 boiled potatoes 1/2 cup roasted peanuts 2-3 green chillies 1 inch ginger 1 tablespoon lemon juice 1/4 cup chopped coriander leaves 1 teaspoon cumin seeds Rock salt to taste Oil for frying
Rinse and soak sabudana till soft. Drain excess water.
Mix sabudana with potatoes, peanuts, chillies, ginger, lemon juice, cumin, coriander, and rock salt.
Take small portions of the mixture and shape them into patties.
Heat some oil and shallow or deep fry until the vadas are crispy. Serve hot.
