Sabudana Upma: Carbs And Calcium-Rich Breakfast

Breakfast is one of the most important meals of the day, and it must be loaded with carbs, calcium, and other essential nutrients. Sabudana upma is one such dish you must try out, and you will want to make it every day.

Ingredients

⅓ cup chopped onion ½ cup soaked sago Salt to taste ¼ tsp turmeric powder Water as needed 1 tbsp oil ½ tbsp chana, urad dal ½ tsp mustard seeds A pinch of hing 7-8 curry leaves 1-inch ginger 2 chopped green chillies

Step 1

Soak sago for at least 4-5 hours. Meanwhile, chop the vegetables.

Step 2

Heat a kadhai, add oil, mustard seeds, chana dal, hing, and urad dal in it.

Step 3

Drop chopped green chillies and curry leaves. 

Step 4

Saute onions until translucent and sprinkle turmeric powder.

Step 5

Add sago and splash some water. Cover with the lid and cook for 5 minutes.

Step 6

Serve sabudana upma and enjoy.
