Chia pudding has become a practical no-cook option, especially when cooking fuel is limited and quick, nourishing meals are needed. The seeds are rich in fibre, omega-3 fatty acids and plant-based protein, and they naturally thicken when soaked, so no heat is required. It works well for digestion, keeps one full for longer, and can be prepared ahead without much effort.
2 tablespoons chia seeds 1 cup milk or plant-based milk 1 tablespoon honey or dates syrup Fresh fruits or nuts for topping
Combine chia seeds, milk and sweetener in a bowl or jar and mix well.
Let it sit briefly, then stir again so the seeds do not clump together.
Refrigerate for a few hours or overnight until the mixture thickens.
Add fruits or nuts on top and serve chilled.
