Rich Walnut Halwa Slow-Cooked For A Comforting Winter Dessert

Akhrot ka halwa is a rich, winter-perfect Indian dessert made with earthy walnuts, ghee, and milk. It offers a warm, nutty sweetness and a luxurious texture, making it ideal for festive celebrations or comforting homemade indulgence.

Ingredients

1 cup akhrot (crushed walnuts) ½ cup milk ¼ cup ghee ½ cup sugar 1 tsp cardamom powder

Step 1

Heat ghee in a pan and roast crushed walnuts until aromatic.

Step 2

Add milk and cook on medium until the mixture thickens.

Step 3

Stir in sugar and mix continuously as it melts.

Step 4

Cook until the halwa becomes glossy and leaves the sides of the pan.

Step 5

Finish with cardamom powder and serve warm.
