One of the most popular dishes in Indian Chinese restaurants, chowmein is a noodle preparation that constitutes vegetables and protein tossed with seasoning and sauces. Adding fresh winter vegetables to the dish when you make it at home gives it a crunch, a fuller flavour and balanced texture that elevates its taste to be even better.
200 g noodles 2 tbsp oil 1 small onion, sliced 1 small capsicum, sliced 1 small carrot, sliced 1 cup shredded cabbage 1 tbsp soy sauce 1 tbsp vinegar 1 tsp chilli sauce ½ tsp black pepper Salt to taste
Boil the noodles until they are just done, then drain them and set them aside.
Put oil in a pan and heat it up. Then, fry the sliced onion until it is lightly golden.
Add the capsicum, carrot, cabbage, and then stir-fry over high heat.
Mix in the soy sauce, vinegar, chilli sauce, salt, and pepper.
Add the noodles, toss them on high heat for a minute, and serve right away.
