Republic Day is a national holiday, and that is why your inner chef suddenly wakes up to try something with tri-colours. Here is a tiranga sandwich recipe for a perfect morning breakfast!
2 carrots, grated 2 capsicums, thinly sliced 2 cucumbers, thinly sliced 50 gms paneer, crumbled 2 tbsp green chutney 3-4 tbsp mayonnaise Cheese slices as required Salt and pepper as required Bread slices 5-6 tbsp butter
Add the grated carrots to a pan with heated butter, season with salt and pepper. Cook for 2 to 3 minutes until carrots are orange. Set aside.
To create a smooth, white filling, combine two mayonnaise, grated or crumbled paneer, salt, and pepper in a bowl.
To make the green layer, add thinly chopped cucumber, capsicum, green chutney, mayonnaise, salt, and pepper to another bowl.
Using the leftover butter, lightly butter one side of each bread slice. Spread the green vegetable layer equally on the unbuttered side.
Spread the paneer mayo mixture over the green layer, then cover with another piece of cheese.
Evenly distribute the orange carrot mixture, place another slice of bread over it and lightly press down.
Grill or toast the sandwich over medium heat until cheese melts and both sides are golden brown. Serve tiranga sandwiches!
