This Jaljeera Mojito Cocktail blends the tangy, spicy flavours of jaljeera with the coolness of mint and soda. This refreshing, easy-to-make drink is perfect for a zesty twist on your usual cocktail.
1/2 cup sugar 1/2 cup water 60 ml white rum 15 ml lime juice 10 grams dried tamarind slices 5 kaffir lime leaves 1/2 inch fresh ginger 1 1/2 tsp jaljeera powder 5 large mint leaves 30 ml tamarind syrup Fresh lime slices, extra mint leaves Soda water, to top
Make tamarind syrup by heating sugar and water until the sugar dissolves.
Add tamarind slices and kaffir lime leaves to the syrup and allow it to cool. ves.
Muddle fresh ginger and jaljeera powder in a shaker until well mixed. ves.
Slap the mint leaves and add them to the shaker with tamarind syrup, rum, and lime juice. ves.
Fill a glass with crushed ice and layer lime slices and mint leaves. Shake the mixture well, pour it over the ice, and top with soda water. ves.
Garnish with a dried tamarind slice and serve chilled. ves.
