Beetroot kanji is a healthy and nutritious drink prepared with fresh beetroots, mustard seeds and spices. This traditional Indian beverage is rich in antioxidants and essential nutrients and cannot be missed.
2 peeled beetroots 1 tsp mustard seeds 1 tsp red chilli powder 1/2 tsp salt 4 cups water
Mix the sliced beetroot, mustard seeds, chilli powder and salt in a jar.
Add water to it, mix well and then cover the jar with a muslin cloth.
Leave it in sunlight for 4-5 days, stirring daily.
Once fermented, strain and serve chilled!
