When summer rolls around, there is no better way to cool off than with a plate of guava chaat. The perfect summer snack, ripe peru guavas are transformed into a refreshing delight with just a few simple spices, juicy, crunchy, sweet, and tangy all in one go.
Ripe guavas (peru) – 2 Onion – 2 Green chilli - 1 Roasted cumin powder – ½ tsp Red chilli powder – ½ tsp Chaat masala - 1 tsp Black salt - ½ tsp Squeeze of fresh lemon juice – 1 ½ tsp Chopped fresh coriander Salt to taste
Wash the guavas and cut them into bite-sized pieces.
Add the guava into a bowl, sprinkle roasted cumin and red chilli powder evenly.
Add chaat masala, black salt, and a pinch of regular salt.
Mix in chopped onion and chopped green chilli.
Add in fresh lemon juice, toss it all together just a bit, not much or else it will go mushy.
Top it all off with some coriander and give it a final mix.
Before serving do a taste check and see if you need to add any more spice.
