Ramadan Iftar Ideas: Make Crispy Chicken Nuggets At Home

Golden, crunchy, and juicy within, chicken nuggets make the perfect quick bite for an iftar spread. With this easy recipe, make crispy chicken nuggets at home that are filled with flavour and taste amazing after day long fast.

Ingredients

300 grams boneless chicken (minced or finely chopped) 1 cup breadcrumbs ½ cup all-purpose flour 1 egg ½ teaspoon garlic powder ½ teaspoon black pepper 1 teaspoon salt ½ teaspoon paprika or chilli powder 1 cup oil (for frying)

Step 1

In a bowl, take minced chicken, salt, black pepper, garlic powder and mix everything well so that the spices spread evenly.

Step 2

Take small portions of the prepared mixture and shape them into small bite-sized nuggets, or if you want in small patties. Keep the shape uniform.

Step 3

Take all-purpose flour,  beaten egg, and breadcrumbs in separate bowls for layering and coating the nuggets.

Step 4

Dip each nugget first in the flour, then in the beaten egg, and lastly coat it with breadcrumbs to make a crunchy layer.

Step 5

In a pan, heat oil on medium heat. Fry the coated nuggets for about 4 to 5 minutes until they turn crispy and golden brown and are thoroughly cooked through.

Step 6

Drain the chicken nuggets on a paper towel to absorb excess oil. Serve hot with ketchup, garlic mayo, or chilli sauce for a tasty iftar snack.
