Quinoa pulao is a nutritious alternative to rice-based dishes. It is loaded with protein, fibre, and many other minerals and vitamins. Add vegetables, and you can enhance its nutritional value further. Check out the recipe.
1 cup quinoa 2 tbsp oil 1 onion, green chilli ¼ cup peas, carrots ½ tsp ginger garlic paste 1 tomato 5-6 mint leaves ¼ tsp chilli, turmeric powder Salt to taste ½ tsp garam masala, cumin 1-inch cinnamon 1 bay leaf, clove 4 cups water
Boil quinoa in 3-4 cups of water and later rinse it using a colander.
Sauté whole spices and cumin seeds in oil.
Add onion and ginger-garlic paste. Once onions are translucent, add other vegetables.
Sprinkle powdered spices and roast until the oil floats on the surface.
Add quinoa and toss with other ingredients. Adjust the salt and cover with a lid.
Once the pulao is ready, sprinkle coriander leaves, and garnish with a lemon wedge.
