Quick Poha Recipe To Kickstart Your Weekend

Poha is a weekend breakfast delight without which the holidays seem incomplete. It is India’s favourite dish to begin the day or have it for snacks during tea time. This no onion and garlic recipe is a must-try.

Ingredients

3-4 cups poha Salt to taste ½ cup cabbage ½ cup carrot 1 tsp turmeric 1 slit green chilli ½ tsp red chilli powder 1 tsp mustard seeds 1 potato 1 tbsp lemon juice 1 tbsp coriander leaves

Step 1

Drain poha with water and keep it aside so it fluffs up and softens.

Step 2

Heat oil in a kadhai and add mustard seeds and chopped green chilli to it.

Step 3

Add turmeric and saute potatoes. Once potatoes start softening, add cabbage and carrots.

Step 4

When the vegetables are done, add poha and toss gently. Sprinkle the salt and add two tablespoons of water.

Step 5

Cook the ingredients with a closed lid and fluff the ingredients well.

Step 6

Drizzle lemon juice, add coriander leaves, give a final toss, and serve.
