Creamy, nutty, and mildly spiced, this peanut chutney adds a delicious twist to dosas and idlis. Made with roasted peanuts and aromatic tempering, it’s a quick, protein-rich side bursting with South Indian flavour.
½ cup roasted peanuts 1-2 green chillies 1 small garlic clove 1 tbsp roasted chana dal (optional for thickness) ½ tsp tamarind Salt to taste Water as needed For tempering: 1 tsp oil ½ tsp mustard seeds 1 dried red chilli Few curry leaves
Grind peanuts, green chillies, garlic, tamarind, and salt with water into a smooth paste.
Heat oil, add mustard seeds, red chilli, curry leaves, and let it splutter.
Pour the tempering over the chutney and mix well.
Serve with dosa, idli, or uttapam.
